The objective of the project was to size the electrical traction infrastructure in the depot and calculate the energy and power requirements for N and N-1 scenarios under winter conditions. Additionally, to size the AC medium voltage requirements.

Description of the project:

Create the model of the depot, including several lines to simulate how vehicles drive in and out of the depot. The following questions can be solved: - Which is the maximum power and energy demand of the depot? - How many traction groups and circuit breakers must be installed in the substation? - How many feeding sections areas must be designed in the depot? - Is the voltage of the contact wire and rail within the values defined in EN50163 and EN50122? - Is the maximum temperature of the contact wire under 70 ºC?
