The objective of the project were to electrify the corridor from Gdynia centrum to Witomino. Analyse which is the best option: run the corridor with electric buses or extend the OCS from Centrum to Witomino to run with trolleybuses.
Create the model of the trolleybus network plus the batteries in buses. Validate the charge and discharge of battery buses for line 190. The following questions can be solved: - Which is the maximum temperature of the contact wire? - Is the voltage of the contact wire within the values defined in EN50163? - How much braking energy can be reused to charge electric buses? - Which is the effect on the network (temperature and voltage) when the system runs in normal and degraded mode (1 substation disconnected)?
